Video Cool Hummer Enters Midsize Truck Market

The transportation curator at the Henry Ford Museum, Robert Casey, contends persuasively that the Cherokee was the first true sport utility vehicle in the modern understanding of the term.

Hummer is expanding its product portfolio and entering the midsize truck market with its 2009 H3T. The vehicle, which is scheduled to make its debut at the Chicago Auto Show, was inspired by the Hummer H3, one of the brand’s two sport utility vehicles (SUV).

SUVs have been popular for many years with rural buyers due to their off-road capabilities.
